Construction Foreman
Location on request
A well-established specialty contractor in industrial storage construction is hiring an experienced field Foreman to lead crews erecting bolted steel tanks and dome covers on projects across the country. The company has decades in the field, a reputation built on safety and repeat clients, and a steady project backlog that keeps its crews working year-round. This is a working leadership role for someone who runs the job from on the structure, not from a truck. If you are a foreman who is built for life on the road and leads by doing, this is a stable, full-time seat with a company that books your travel, pays for your room, and puts a truck under you.
- Base wage $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience. Prevailing (Davis Bacon) or state wage rates apply on applicable projects and can pay above base.
- With overtime on a 60 to 70 hour week plus prevailing-wage projects, total annual earnings commonly land in the $90K to $120K range.
- Per diem of $60 per day while on project. Company books and pays for the motel
- Company truck provided for all project-to-project travel.
- Schedule is 6 to 7 days per week, roughly 60 to 70 hours, with extended rotations on some projects.
- Scheduled crew breaks every couple of months, plus the flexibility for a long weekend home about once a month for foremen.
- Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ match, PTO, holidays
Overview
- Lead and run a 3 to 6 person field crew on bolted tank and dome erection projects, working alongside the crew on the structure.
- Keep the job safe, on pace, and on schedule from setup through closeout.
- Operate standard erection equipment, including forklifts and man lifts.
- Perform elevated work safely at heights up to 150 feet, in all weather.
- Own all site paperwork: daily reports, timesheets, and safety records, completed accurately and on time.
- Manage crew scheduling, material flow, and on-site logistics across back-to-back projects.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent field experience.
- Prior experience in bolted structure assembly, tank or dome erection, or specialty industrial construction.
